CHASING TRANE is the definitive documentary film about an outside-the-box thinker with extraordinary talent whose boundary-shattering music continues to impact and influence people around the world. This smart, passionate, thought-provoking and uplifting documentary is for anyone who appreciates the power of music to entertain, inspire and transform. Written and directed by critically-acclaimed documentary filmmaker John Scheinfeld (The U.S. vs. John Lennon and Who Is Harry Nilsson...?) the film is produced with the full participation of the Coltrane family and the support of the record labels that collectively own the Coltrane catalog. Scheinfeld brings his strong story-telling skills to the creation of a rich, textured and compelling narrative that takes the audience to unexpected places. Set against the social, political and cultural landscape of the times, CHASING TRANE brings John Coltrane to life as a fully dimensional being, inviting the audience to engage with Coltrane the man, Coltrane the artist.

This is one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. I've seen all of Coltrane's recordings, and this is by far the most comprehensive look at his life. The people involved in the making of this documentary are the ones I would like to thank for it. The film's director, Jake Rosenthal, and music journalist, David Stevens, deserve special recognition. Their willingness to work with Coltrane and his estate was a huge boon to the documentary. As a tribute to Coltrane's music and life, this is a must see.

I've been a fan of John Coltrane since I was 5 years old and have been watching his music and concerts since I was a child. So when I first heard of this documentary, I was happy that I was going to see this, because it was going to be the one that I would watch and it was going to be something I would not forget. I was not disappointed. John Coltrane, who died in 2009, was one of the most important and talented musicians in the world. He was a very open-minded person who was able to see the world from a wide range of perspectives. I was not able to see this documentary, but I am happy that I did. It was very well done and really showed us a side of Coltrane that we never knew about. I found it really informative, informative, informative, and informative. I was not disappointed at all. I highly recommend this documentary.

I am a very active musician and have a lot of respect for Coltrane and his music. I don't know why this film didn't win any Oscars, I guess they were expecting some really good music, but I didn't think it would be that good. I was wrong. This is a great documentary. I am really looking forward to seeing this on DVD. The music and the film are very good. I would recommend it to anyone who loves music and especially Coltrane. You will not be disappointed. See it now.

I was lucky enough to be invited to attend a sneak preview of this documentary at the Chicago Film Festival. I am glad I was. This is a truly fascinating look at the life of a great American. His music and his voice are unforgettable. The film is divided into three parts. Part 1 is about John Coltrane's childhood and his early life. Part 2 is about his career and how he rose to fame. Part 3 is about his death. I think the first part is the most interesting. Part 2 is very moving and I think that it is the most important part of the film. Part 3 is just great. The editing is excellent and it is just a great documentary. I hope to see the DVD and also the featurettes. This is a very interesting look at John Coltrane. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.

This is a great film, one that I have seen countless times. It was a bit of a surprise to see that this film was in the works for so long, but I think it is well worth the wait. The documentary is narrated by Coltrane and features interviews with many of his family members and friends, as well as others. The film is very well produced and edited, and is very well produced. The way it is filmed is beautiful, the music is beautiful, and the editing is so smooth that it makes the film even more beautiful. The film was a great documentary, but I think that it is even more of a personal journey for Coltrane. I think that it is worth the time to see this film, and I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Coltrane.

As a musician, I can say that this documentary is absolutely fascinating, and it should be on everyone's must see list. John Coltrane was the first jazz musician to make a career of making music, and he was also the first musician to have a guitar as his instrument. And he was also the first musician to have a TV show, a show called "The Coltrane Show". This documentary covers his early years, his career, his marriage, his death, and his legacy. This documentary is worth watching for any musician, and it is a must see for anyone who is a fan of Coltrane's music. If you are not a musician, you will not understand this documentary, but if you are a musician, you will definitely enjoy this documentary. I was able to see it in 4 different countries, and it is a must see for anyone who loves jazz music. It is not only about jazz music, it is about the jazz music movement and the people who helped make it happen.

This is the best documentary about the life and music of John Coltrane. It is well-edited, well-directed, and the musicians, writers, and others involved are well-presented. The film covers a lot of ground. The director and the producers did a great job of presenting the facts, and they also did a great job of keeping the film moving and interesting. I think the film does a good job of showing the different personalities of Coltrane, and how they developed into their famous personalities. The film also covers the time period of the Civil Rights Movement. I think it is a great documentary, and I am glad that it has been made. It should be a great addition to the film collection of any Coltrane fan.

I was fortunate to attend a special screening of this documentary at the Austin Film Festival. It is a must see for all music fans. I saw it in Spanish and English and it was beautifully shot and filmed. The story of the man who influenced so many of us is told and the music is very strong and clear. The film is very well done and I would like to see it in Spanish and English.
